In a time when hundreds of children and teens in St. Lucie County are not receiving the guidance they need to graduate from high school, to avoid the effects of violence, gangs and drugs, or to become responsible adults, the Boys & Girls Club of St. Lucie County is there to help children and young adults.
The Boys & Girls Club relies on individuals and businesses to assist in its mission of helping kids succeed. The Club recently received a $1,000 contribution from the Treasure Coast Business Summit.
The Treasure Coast Business Summit was held on May 11 at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center. The summit featured keynote speaker Former Senate President Ken Pruitt, as well as other local, state and national speakers, and included breakout sessions and workshops.
The Boys & Girls Club of St. Lucie County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the youth of the community. By providing a safe place to learn and grow, as well as life enhancing programs and character developing experiences; the club strives to inspire and enable all members, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
With 19 locations throughout the county, the Boys & Girls Club programs serve a diverse group of kids age 5-18. The more than 3,000 members come from a variety of backgrounds. Reach the Club by calling 772 460-9918 or visit www.bgcofslc.org or www.facebook.com/bgcofslc.
